Clarify the change you want first
Filler treatment and surgery are not equivalent interventions. Fillers can alter contours by adding volume; surgery assesses structural changes. Consultation should distinguish appearance, size and breathing concerns.
Nonsurgical treatment still needs assessment
Before considering a filler, ask which product is proposed, whether it is appropriate for the area and how a complication would be managed. Injections can have serious complications. Share previous treatments and do not assume every nasal change can be addressed with filler.
Bring these questions to your consultation
- Does my goal need added volume or structural change?
- What are the limits of each option?
- What area-specific risks exist?
- Which previous treatments should I mention?
